UK-based Muslim fashion designer, visual artist and blogger Hana Tajima is making her mark on the industry, exploring themes of 'modest wear' in the mainstream having recently collaborated with UNIQLO to launch a spring/summer 2016 collection, now available in Southeast Asia, London and New York.
The collection - which follows her autumn/winter 2015 range, only available in Southeast Asia - includes long dresses, high neck tops, head bands, and traditional wear such as hijabs. Tajima, who launched her own range, MAYSAA, in 2010, also blogs at hanatajima.com, where she covers fashion, design and styling, and has also amassed a strong following on social media, with nearly 90,000 followers on Twitter and over 33,000 on Instagram. With further collaborations sure to come, Tajima is definitely one to watch out for.
